Dr. Alexander Fleming, (1903-1972), Scottish biologist who discovered antibiotic penicillin in 1928. During WW2 Howard Walter Florey and Ernst Boris Chain developed a means of producing penicillin on an industrial scale. All three shared the 1945 Nobel Prize for Medicine (BSLOC_2016_10_17)
