An early domestic dishwasher built by Willard and Forrest Walker, of the Walker Brothers Company, in Syracuse, New York. It was a tub with a tray to hold dishes upright. Beneath the dishes, an inverted cone at the tub bottom, was lifted by an external hand-crank, to splash the dishes. Ca. 1890. (CSU_ALPHA_1593) CSU Archives/Everett Collection
