The Easter Parade on New York Citys and 57th Streets, 1911. It was an after-church event for the well-to-do. They showed off their new spring clothes while strolling to visit church flower decorations. By this time it had also became a fashion marketing event, and drew scorn from pious social critics. EASTER PARADE was the title of a 1948 film starring Judy Garland and Fred Astaire
