Execution of En Hai, a Chinese Officier, assassin of German Ambassador, Dec. 31, 1900. Baron Klemens von Ketteler, was killed in Beijing on June 20, 1900, at the beginning of the Boxer Rebellion. The Ketteler killing was possibly Boxer retaliation for the abuse of Chinese by the ambassador and German Embassy guards (BSLOC_2017_20_36)
