F-86 Sabre Jet was the first U.S. jet fighter
F-86 Sabre Jet was the first U.S. jet fighter to have swept wings. This one is headed toward MIG Alley in north west North Korea on the Yalu River, the site of dogfights between UN fighter and Communist pilots. The Sabre jet was the U.S. jet that best matched the Soviet MiG. Korean War, 1950-53. (BSLOC_2014_11_232)
