Father Coughlin founded the National Union for Social Justice (NUSJ) in April 1935. The political group had a nationalistic worker's rights agenda. Coughlin began denouncing Roosevelt as a tool of Wall Street, and attacked both capitalism and Communism. NUSJ had a million dues paying members by the 1936 election. (CSU_2015_9_1135)
