Fulton J. Sheen following a private audience Pope Paul VI at the Vatican, March 17, 1971. Sheen was a celebrated radio and television priest from 1930 to mid-1960s until a dispute with Cardinal Spellman over money. Subsequently, his television work was discouraged, his leadership at the Society for the Propagation of the Faith was terminated, and he was reassigned to Rochester, New York. (CSU_2015_9_1149)
