Gen. Alexander Haig, was head of NATO from Dec. 1974?July 1979. He was the 7th to hold the title of Supreme Allied Commander Europe over all U.S. and NATO forces in Europe. Haig served in high civilian positions the Nixon, Ford, and Reagan Administrations. (CSU_2015_11_1453)
