General Dwight Eisenhower talked to paratroopers
General Dwight Eisenhower talked to paratroopers on the evening of June 5, 1944. With blackened faces and full gear, the men parachuted inland to disrupt the German response to the D-Day beach landings. They were among 13, 100 paratroopers of the 82nd and 101st Airborne in the dangerous Operation Neptune. (BSLOC_2013-12_96)
