General Edwin Walker (left) with Col. William Kuhn outside Central High School, Little Rock. Sept. 25, 1957. They commanded the 327th Airborne Battle Group, enforcing racial integration. Walker was known for his right wing politics, and resigned his commission in 1961. October 1962, Walker was arrested for leading riots at University of Mississippi protesting admittance of a black student, James Meredith. (BSLOC_2014_13_126)
