Heinrich Himmler, head of the Nazi's Black Shirt troopers or Schutzstaffel (SS) from 1929-1945. The SS began as a paramilitary group to guard Nazi meetings. After Hitler came to power, the SS executed the Rohm Putsch, which decimated the violent and undisciplined Brown Shirts who brought Hitler to power. (CSU_2015_9_839)
