Herbert Marcuse, German-American philosopher left Germany after the Nazi victory in 1933. July 1968. His Marxist writing inspired many intellectuals and political activists in the 1960s and 1970s. He was a Professor at the University of California at San Diego. (CSU_2015_11_1490)
