Dynastic portrait of all nine Adil Shahi sultans who ruled Bijapur, a Deccan sultanate, from c. 1550 to 1686, when it was conquered by the Mughal Empire. The last Sultan, Sikandar Adil Shah, is the boy at far right. In center, the key of legitimacy is given by Isma?il, founder of the Safavid dynasty of Iran, to Yusuf, founder of the Bijapur dynasty (BSLOC_2017_16_28)
