Hungarian Royal Crown in a U.S. Army repository at Frankfort, Aug. 3, 1945. It was recovered in Mattsee, Austria, on May 4, 1945 by the U.S. 86th Infantry Division. The U.S. withheld it from Hungary's Communist state until 1978, when it was returned by President Carter. (BSLOC_2014_1_7)
