Iranian premier Mohammed Mossadegh in August 1953. In 1952 he was granted emergency powers, with which he limited the monarchy's powers. He cut the Shah's budget; forbid Shah to communicate with foreign diplomats; transferred royal lands back to the state; and expelled the Shah's sister, Ashraf Pahlavi. (CSU_2015_8_507)
