Joseph Warren, a Boston physician
Joseph Warren, a Boston physician, was a pre-revolutionary political writer and orator. He was a close friend and political mentor of radical Samuel Adams. He drafted the Suffolk Resolves in April 1775 to fight the Coercive Acts, imposed by the British after the Boston Tea Party of Dec. 1773. He wears the military uniform of the Massachusetts militia, in which he died at the Battle of Bunker Hill, 1795
