Leland Olds defends the TVA before Congress, Dec. 15, 1938. The liberal consumer oriented economist served as head of the Federal Power Commission from 1940-49. In 1948 he became the target of a Red Smear initiated by Lyndon Johnson-HUAC, who sought to ingratiate Texas oil interests. (BSLOC_2013_7_135)
