The Letter, by Mary Cassatt, 1990-91, American print, drypoint and aquatint. Following a landmark exhibition of Japanese color woodcuts in Paris in 1890, Cassatt made a series of drypoint engravings, colored with aquatint. She adapted the ukiyo-e theme (p (BSLOC_2016_5_175)
