Mounted police clashing with strikers, outside an electrical plant in Philadelphia. Workers were among 200, 000 striking against General Electric and Westinghouse. They demanded a 25 cent an hour raise. When the strike was settled in March 1946, the received 18.5 cents an hour in a one year contract. (BSLOC_2014_13_238)
