Nelson Bunker Hunt, son of oil tycoon H. L. Hunt. In 1980 he was embroiled in an estimated 2-4-billion-dollar silver speculation with his two brothers, William and Lamar. After causing a panic on commodity and futures exchanges, the scheme collapsed, causing the reduction of the Hunt's $5 billion fortune in 1980 to less than $1 billion in 1988 (BSLOC_2021_3_7)
