The New York National Guard, 27th Infantry Division, celebrates the end of WW1 on the Western Front. Nov. 11, 1918. The 27th broke the Hindenburg Line during the Second Battle of the Somme, forcing a German retreat. There was a final confrontation with Germans at the Selle River, followed shortly by the Armistice
