Patience Sewell Latting was the first female Mayor
Patience Sewell Latting was the first female Mayor of Oklahoma City, from 1971 to 1983. As mayor she supported the urban renewal of Oklahoma City. In 1967, Latting was the first women elected to the Oklahoma City Council. (CSU_2015_7_378)
