Poster promoting the election of George H. Woodson to the Iowa State legislature, in 1912. He lost the election but remained an active leader of the Black Republican Party in Iowa. Educated as a lawyer at Howard University, he was one of the 29 original co-founders of the Niagara Movement, 1905
