President Donald Trump met with Twitter chief executive, Jack Dorsey, on April 23, 2019. The Daily Beast reported Trump spoke of loosing some of his 59 million followers in anti-Trump and anti-conservative Twitter purges. Dorsey explained that Twitter has removed bots to protect the health of public conversation ahead of the U.S. elections, and in efforts to respond to the opioid crisis
