President Eisenhower holding a gift from Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev. It was a replica of metal ball, 7.5 cm in diameter, launched to the lunar surface in Luna 2. Shaped like a soccer ball, it bore the Soviet hammer and sickle seal. Sept 15, 1959.
