Puerto Rican nationalist, Oscar Collazo, 37, attempted to assassinate President Truman. On Nov. 1, 1950, with Griselio Torresola, he stormed Trumans residence and both were wounded by Secret Service guards. Photo shows Collazo in transfer between hospitals, but Torresola died of his wounds. President Jimmy Carter commuted Collazos sentence to time served in 1979 (BSLOC_2018_2_1). For E
