RA II arrived at Bridgetown Barbados on July 12, 1970. 40 foot long reed boat, commanded by explorer Thor Heyerdahl completed a two month voyage from Safi, Morocco, 3200 miles across the Atlantic. The expedition established the possibility that Egyptians could have done the same 6000 years ago on a similar vessel. (CSU_2015_9_943)
