Radio script writers, Jerry Lawrence (left), and Bob Lee (right), with James Hilton (center). May 27, 1952. They were collaborating on a script based on the 19th c. novel LORNA DOONE for THE HALLMARK PLAYHOUSE, a CBS Radio series hosted by James Hilton. Lawrence and Lee wrote the 1955 play INHERIT THE WIND and AUNTIE MAME. They wrote in partnership until the 1980s. English novelist James Hilton's best know works are Lost Horizon and Goodbye, Mr. Chips. (CSU_2015_9_861)
