Richard H. Ranger American electrical engineer, sound engineer, and inventor. He demonstrated his new electric organ which uses loudspeakers instead of organ pipes. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences presented Ranger with an Oscar in 1956 for his development of the tape recorder which improved the synchronization of film and sound. (CSU_2015_9_1022)
