Rosa Luxemburg, was a Polish born German Communist revolutionary leader. In 1918 she advocated democracy, and opposed the communist Spartacists non-participation in electoral politics and the violent uprising of Jan. 1919. Still, she was assassinated by the right-wing militia, the Friecorps, during its suppression (BSLOC_2017_2_58)
