Rudi Red Dutschke's assailant is carried away on a stretcher after his capture. Berlin, West Germany, April 11, 1968. The anti-communist, Josef Bachmann severely wounded Dutschke with a bullet in his head. Dutschke partially recovered but died in an epileptic seizure, brought on by brain damage from the assassination attempt. (CSU_2015_8_623)
