Russian Andrei Gromyko requested removal of USSR-Iranian dispute from UN Security Council Agenda. March 26, 1946. The dispute involved Russian troops in Iran near the border of Russia and Azerbaijan SSR. Gromyko served as the Soviet Union's Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1957 to 1985. (CSU_2015_9_757)
