Tammany Boss Jimmy Hines was convicted of protecting the Dutch Schultz mob. Hines smoked a cigarette behind the fence at the General Session Court after his conviction, March 2, 1939. The Hines case was one of New York City Prosecutor Thomas Dewey's biggest victories. (CSU_2015_9_843)
