The United Stated Congress met in the Annapolis State House from November 26, 1783 to June 3, 1784. Congress ratified the Treaty of Paris of 1783 in this building, ending the American Revolutionary War. The 1786 Annapolis Convention resolved to meet at Philadelphia in 1787, to amend the Articles of Confederation
