U.S. Marines of the 5th and 7th Regiments withdrew from besieged Yudam-Ni to Hagaru. In five days and nights of below-zero winds and icy roads, from Nov 28 to Dec. 3 Dec, they fought through a 15 mile gauntlet of Chinese attacks.
