USS O-5 (SS-66) was one of 16 O-class submarines built for the U.S. Navy during World War 1. In 1921 the sub patrolled the Atlantic coast from Cape Cod to Key West, Florida. Her end came on October 28, 1923, when she was rammed by a United Fruit Company steamer and sank in less than a minute, killing 3 of the 19 man crew (BSLOC_2016_10_104)
