A victim of the Gardelegen massacre of April 13, 1945. German SS and Luftwaffe troops forced 1, 016 weakened slave laborers into a large barn that they then set on fire. The slave laborers had been on a forced march from Dora-Nordhausen camp where underground factories built V1 and V2 missiles. Germany, World War 2. (BSLOC_2014_4_35)
