William Fox, founder of Fox Films, leaving U.S. District Court in Philadelphia. On Oct 21, 1941 he was convicted of bribing two judges for favorable rulings related to his 1936 bankruptcy. In 1942 he served 5 months in prison. The pioneer movie producer flourished from 1900 to 1925, but lost control of his studio after the 1929 Stock Market crash. Fox Films, was the predecessor of Twentieth Century Fox (BSLOC_2015_14_171)
