Boer Prisoners of War landing at the British Naval base on the Island of Bermuda in the Western Atlantic. During the last phase of the Boer War (1901-1902) over 4600 Boers aged between 8-80 were brought to Bermuda and held on 5 islands in the Great Sound - after the war most were repatriated back to South Africa
