Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, Petrie Bight, Customs House
Petrie Bight, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Petrie Bight is a sharp curve in the Brisbane River at the northern ends of the Town Reach (upstream) and the Shafston Reach (downstream) around the tip of Kangaroo Point. The name is derived from the association of the area with early Brisbane builder Andrew Petrie, who in circa 1838 established his workshop and residence at the corner of Wharf and Queen Streets
