Caernarvon Castle, Wales
An impressive view of Caernarfon (Caernarvon) Castle in Gwynedd, North Wales, with numerous boats on the water in the foreground. The castle was built by the English King Edward I from around 1283, on the site of a Roman fortress and Norman motte. The architect was Master James of Saint George (1230-1309), also known as Jacques de Saint-Georges d'Esperanche from Savoy, France
