Chamberlain departs for talks with Hitler
Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain salutes the crowd as he (and cabinet colleagues) depart for Munich, Germany from the Heston Aerodrome for talks with German Chancellor Adolf Hitler, Italian leader Benito Mussolini and the French Premier Daladier regarding the increasing tensions in Central Europe - September 29th, 1938. The talks would lead to the signing of the Munich Agreement, conceding the Sudetenland region of Czechoslovakia to Germany
