China, Missionary Eugenio Massi - Converted Revolutionaries
A fascinating card, in three sections - first (top left), a portrait of the leader of the 10, 000 revolutionaries who infested the central Chen-Si region, dressed in the uniform of a killed British general. Next (top right), we have S. Eugenio Massi (1875-1944), Apostolic Vicar of the Central Chen-Si (Scen-si), China and Missionary of the G. F. C. I, who pacified the revolutionaries. The lower section shows the six wives of the Revolutionary leader, also saved by the preaching of Eugenio Massi. Massi was killed during the bombing of Hankow (Hankou) in 1944
