The Southern entrance of The Church of San Isidoro at Ubeda - a town in the province of Jaen in Spain's autonomous community of Andalusia. One of three Gothic churches of the city, located outside the walls. The original structure was possibly an Arab fortress to defend the west wall or an ancient Mosque. Sixteen years after the Christian conquest in 1233, construcion started on a Gothic church which was later devastated. The present building dates from the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries
