Constantinople - Fountain
Constantinople, Turkey. View in Asia Minor on Asian side of Bosphorus. One of the Princes Islands is shown and Anadolu Hissari (Castle/Fortification) - mouth of the Goksu Deresi ('the sky stream') which in late Ottoman period was called THE SWEET WATERS OF ASIA MINOR. Built in 1390 by Sultan Beyazit I also known as The Thunderbolt and was defeated by Tamelane in Battle of Ankara in 1401. Re-built and extended over the years
