Craiova - The Independence Monument
Craiova, Romania - The Independence Monument, the work of sculptor Dumitru Pavelescu-Dimo (1870-1944). Unveiled on 21st May 1913, the work is dedicated to the struggle for independence during the War of 1877-1878. The monument was demolished in 1948
