Portuguese Colonial History Series - Diogo Gomes and Antonio de Noli (Nola) discover the Island of Santiago (the largest island of the Cape Verde Islands) in 1460. Their voyages were on behalf of Henry the Navigator and de Noli was made first Governor of Cape Verde by King Afonso V
