Duchess lays Foundation stone - Paddington Medical School
Elizabeth, Duchess of York (1900-2002) lays the Foundation stone for the New Medical School at St. Mary's, Paddington on June 30th 1931. Stanley Baldwin was also present (hidden behind the Duchess). She is holding a ceremonial silver mallet which was used for laying other stones in the Hospital by Queen Victoria, King Edward VII and King George V
