Dulcimer
Dulcimer - a variety of the psaltery, has been in use from very early times. Represented on Assyrian monuments and mentioned in texts from the time of Nebuchadnezzar. The strings are struck by hammers led to the development of both the clavichord and later pienoforte. This is likely an Italian model
