Edwin Crcker, Big Ben Telescope Man - Westminster Bridge
A wonderful photographic postcard depicting Big Ben's Telescope Man, Edwin Crocker, under the Boadicea Statue, Westminster. The statue was sculpted by Lord Thomas Thorneycroft (1815 - 1865) - commissioned by Prince Albert in the 1860s, but only cast in 1902! For a penny you could view Big Ben through Mr Crocker's Telescope and then buy a sweet treat or two afterwards
